The Addicks will face Dagenham and Redbridge at The Valley in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The match is likely to be staged on Tuesday 11 August, with an admission price of £10 for adults and £5 for concessions.

It is the second consecutive year that Charlton have been drawn against a side that they were scheduled to visit as part of their pre-season campaign.

A year ago, Colchester visited The Valley for a first round game, and the friendly match at Colchester was cancelled, so the warm up game at Dagenham has to be at risk.

In recent times, the Addicks have also had to call off a pre-season game against Reading, after the duo were paired in the League Cup, albeit that both games were due to be played at The Valley.

The Daggers last visited The Valley for knockout action in August 2010, when the clubs met in the JPT. The match saw Paul Benson make his Charlton debut, ironically against his former club.

The league fixtures will be released at 9.00am on Wednesday.
