It has been announced that Andrew Sykes will be Charlton’s new shirt sponsors for the 2012/13 season.
The deal will be for one year but fans who buy replica shirts will be anxious that the deal is extended.
The company are locally based and have been associated with the Addicks for a number of years.
In a break with past deals, the away shirt will carry a different one of the group’s brands to the home shirt. The new Nike home shirt will carry the logo ‘Andrews Air Conditioning’.
Andrew Sykes’ managing director, Paul Wood, had this to say to the club’s website:
“After a long and successful relationship with Charlton, we are delighted to become shirt sponsors for the season in which the club returns to the Championship.
“We are looking forward to working with the club, and hope that we have a successful season together in 2012/13.”
Steven Kavanagh, Charlton’s CEO, added his thoughts:
“I am delighted that we have concluded an agreement with Andrews Sykes.
“We have worked with them locally for a long time and after three successful years with our previous kit sponsor, Kent Reliance, it’s great to have another successful local business on board.”
Charlton are hopeful of having replica shirts available for sale well in advance of the new season.
Charlton’s last goal of the season, Yann Kermorgant’s stunning volley against Hartlepool, has won the club’s goal of the season competition.
