Former Kent coach Jimmy Adams is the new director of cricket for the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB).
Adams, who represented West Indies as player and captain during his career, replaces Englishman Richard Pybus who did not seek to renew his contract.
It said that a new head coach, Australian Stuart Law, has been appointed to fill the position vacated by Phil Simmons who was fired in September.
The decision to fill the two positions was reportedly taken last weekend at the WICB’s quarterly meeting which took place in St Maarten.
Adams stepped down from his position at Kent coach at the end of the season having spent five years at Canterbury.
The 48 year old was extremely popular during his time at Kent and was instrumental in bringing through a number of talented youngsters such as Sam Billings and Daniel Bell-Drummond.
