Blog: The effects of Herbalife on me

The past couple of weeks on Herbalife has seen my life change for good and the results have been pretty dramatic.Herbalife me2

Taking on the challenge of seeing what effects my body would experience within a month of being on Herbalife, at the halfway point, I think most people would agree the results are all positive.

I had my halfway point weigh in the other day and having had time to digest (no pun intended) the results, it’s pretty obvious that I am a lot healthier than I was at the start of January.

Herbalife isn’t just about popping a few pills and having the odd shake though. For me, it’s about looking at your lifestyle as a whole and cutting out some of the things in your life that you don’t really need. It’s also about making sure you are eating the right things at the right times.

At this point, I must confess I have been no angel and I’ve strayed away from the plan on more than a few occasions. Biscuits are still my weakness and a weekend away with fish and chips combined with a nice carvery the following day certainly weren’t ideal, but then it’s not about losing weight for me.

I’m not large by any means, but I could certainly do with losing a bit of the old middle aged spread.

The results are already starting to show I’m heading in the right direction.

Here’s the comparison between January 1st and now:

Weight:  162.2 lbs – 159 lbs
Body fat:  20.9% – 19%
Water:  53.9 – 52.0
Hips:  98cm – 98cm
Waist:  92cm – 89cm
Thigh:  56cm – 56cm

So, the most obvious results are that I have lost over 3lbs, but more importantly is that I have reduced my body fat by nearly 2% within the space of a couple of weeks.Weight image

The other most noticeable statistic is that I have lost 3cm around my waist. Without a doubt, that’s got to be one of the best things for me.

One thing’s for sure, it’s taken a lot of willpower and I’m determined the next few weeks will see me lose more weight, reduce my body fat further and be happy with it.

I must admit, it’s not all been about taking Herbalife, I’ve been doing the odd little trundle on the exercise bike too.

That for me is important. Like I said in my last blog, it’s not all about crash dieting, starving myself or anything like that. I want to look healthier, be healthier and more importantly, to stay healthy.

The next couple of weeks will be a challenge in itself as I set about trimming up further and come the end of the month we’ll see whether it has had a lasting effect on me.
