Kent Cricket have confirmed that right-arm pacer Matt Quinn has joined the county on loan from Essex for four LV= Insurance County Championship matches, beginning with Kent’s trip to Yorkshire from Thursday.
In his career to date, Matt has played in 36 first class matches taking 123 wickets.
The seamer has been brought into the ranks at Canterbury with the likes of Harry Podmore and Grant Stewart nursing injuries and is likely to go straight into the side for the Championship clash at Headingley.
On joining Kent on loan, Quinn said: “I’m pleased to have the opportunity to be playing more regular first-class cricket, and I’m determined to make positive contributions for Kent during my time here.”
Kent Cricket’s Director of Cricket, Paul Downton, said: “We’re delighted that Matt has agreed to join us on loan. We have suffered an unusual amount of injuries this season and Matt will be a valuable short-term addition to our bowling attack.”
